In a world for which slavery is not real, the argument that "encouraging romantic activity" is not different than "forcing someone else to go to work" which is all meaningless as it is now proves that romantic opportunities are pretty bad! The only reason you can ever get anyplace in life is having someone take a liking to you and make it your special place of bondage.
